FINALLY!!! We arrived at the place we were to be at (Shandong). I was bone tired but hungry at the same time...

Anyways, we were welcomed by three wonderful tour guides and some teachers from LiCheng Er Zhong. It was late at night by that time and the weather was co-operating very well. It was not too cold neither was it too warm. From the airport to the hotel, it took us about 45 minutes to 1 hour of travelling. In the bus, it was obvious that most of them were sleeping and only some were chit-chatting all the way.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were served with our first meal at the hotel!!! (It was salty but the soup was nice!!!)

Sorry if the picture is a little blur... but yeah...these were served on our first meal!!

The funny thing was, Dana drank the whole big, huge bowl of egg soup herself!!!

After dinner (or should i say supper), we all went up to our rooms and lights off (as expected)...

The Big Day!!

Well, 4th November 2007, the day we were waiting for.

That morning, all 20 of the students gathered at Changi Airport at 7.30am. It was pretty early...hahaha!

Well, normal procedure, checked in, kissed mummy and daddy, brothers and sisters and off we went. You should see the faces of some of us, tears were rolling down our faces and for the some of us, it was the first time out without parents.

The plane we went on was eading towards Beijing. From Beijing, we had to transit onto another plane to Shandong. It was a tough job trying to sit still in the plane cause we were all pretty excited. But maybe it was because we were all really tired that morning and some of us were sick, the plane was at peace...hahaha!!

Here are some shots Guan Nan and I took during the flight journey to Beijing.

The plane...China Airlines~

On top of the world!!!

Danah was having a cold. Thus...she was enjoying the six hours flight sleeping....

That's all for now!!

Preparation~~~

2nd November 2007
Today, Mr.Loke, our principal 'brain storm' us on China. Well, he was long-winded. But who dare blame him. He did that just because he really cared for us and we all know that. He is the best principal anyone can have. Here is a short video I took during the session.

3rd November 2007

The day when my hostel mates and I shed tears. My friends were helping me pack my stuff and all when we started reflecting ourselves and the atmosphere was suddenly filled with tears. At that time, the thought of just staying in Singapore but it turned out that I went on the trip after all... haha!!

Anyways, those were just my thoughts. Lets talk about expectations.

I expected the school to be built in a very old fashion way and the students with long hair for girls and styled up hair for boys. Cosy classroom and the student-teacher relation was strongly built.

The country to be... systematic? Haha!! But overall, I prayed hard and hoped that it would be an enjoyable and pleasant trip and hopefully we would all come back to Singapore with more knowledge about Confucious. That is because, learning about Confucious was the main purpose we went to Shandong, Qufu.

Thats all for now! Tell me what you want to read about in my coming blogs and I'll make sure the next post will be up to your expectations. Or maybe even higher than your expectations!!

Love,
